Our Craft
Odie is an accomplished rigger and educator, known for expertise in Shibari, impact play, and other kink disciplines. His focus is on creating tools that foster meaningful connections, with safety and creativity at the core.

Our Company History
From Ethos Leather to RoughnBootz — a legacy of craftsmanship, safety, and community
Our Beginnings
Our story begins with Ethos Leather, a cherished name in kink and leatherwork that was founded in Seattle, Washington, and later thrived in the secluded woodlands of Central Maine. Ethos Leather was created by a family devoted to the BDSM community, crafting quality gear for both personal and community use, always with a commitment to accessibility, safety, and sustainability.
Starting as a wholesale-only operation for local retailers, Ethos Leather eventually expanded into direct retail to meet the growing demand for their carefully crafted, hand-tooled gear.
Our Craftsmanship
In keeping with their values, Ethos Leather sourced only premium materials, including U.S.-tanned latigo leather and high-grade stainless steel hardware. These choices ensured durability even with frequent cleaning and sanitization, reflecting an ethos of responsible, ethical craftsmanship that would endure the test of time and support safe play.
Our New Chapter
Now, under the stewardship of RoughnBootz and his slave, Craig, the company has returned to its original home in the Pacific Northwest. This new beginning honors Ethos Leather’s legacy while embracing the future of kink gear and education.
